Since 2000, Neighbors Empowering Youth (NEY) a 501c3 service organization has implemented technology service programs impacting numerous lives. To advance NEY's mission and goals to help our youth, young adults and seniors become more fluent in science, technology, engineering and math "STEM" subjects. NEY's After School Programs will focus on the EDGE project: (Educated, Dedicated, Gifted and Empowered) offering a balance of academic support, technology enrichment workshops, project-based learning programs, community service events and activities, college scholarship and internship opportunities. It’s a recipe for successful workplace readiness and preparation for future achievement...

FRC TEAM 2404 N.E.Y. TECHS (TNT)
In 2008 Team 2404 Robotics was formed and sponsored by NASA/JPL. First Robotics is a unique, fun, exciting, and awesome project that allows youths to apply technical skills to enhance creativity and practicality. It is a "sport of the mind" that requires problem-solving, innovation, creativity, safety, and most importantly teamwork. Your skills might be in design, mechanics, programming, video gaming (precise robot control!), marketing, business, photography, web design, or animation. No matter what your skills are, we can use you on our robotics team!
FIRST isn’t about building robots, it’s about developing life skills. Students get to:
-
Build and compete with a robot of their design.
-
Learn and use sophisticated software and hardware.
